Overview

Odette hosts a popular intergalactic talk show focused on Earth crawlers. She regularly interviews Carl and Donut between floors and has served as an informal advisor. Her crab ranch sponsored Hekla during Floor 4, creating a complex conflict of interest when Hekla's betrayal was revealed.

Role in the Story So Far

Odette advised Carl on class and race selection before Floor 3 and has continued interviewing Carl and Donut between floors throughout Book 2. Her crab ranch sponsored Hekla of Brynhild's Daughters, which complicated her position when Hekla's betrayal of Katia was exposed.

Loita's takeover of Carl and Donut's PR access reduced Odette's direct interview access during the latter half of Floor 4.

Odette has a deeply complicated history with Mordecai — she pushed him too hard during his own crawl. Mordecai's brother chose the Storm Commander class on her recommendation; his fate remains unresolved.
