Odette warned Carl about Valtay: they are a powerful entity with a fleet outside the Borant system and run a competing tech-focused version of Dungeon Crawler World. They prefer aquatic hosts. They eventually became Carl's sponsor.

Lore: Valtay and the orcs destroyed the H'lene — the ancient alien race whose six galactic-center waystations are represented by the Iron Tangle's Station Mimics.

Agatha was found carrying three Valtay Corporation items, raising unresolved questions about her connection to Valtay.
