Classification

NPC — Floor 3 circus performer; future quest giver

First Appearance

Book 2, Chapter 53

Known Aliases

  • Tsarina Signet
  • the half-naiad

Description

A half-naiad, half-high-elf woman (Level 60) covered in living tattoos. The tattoos — including a sea dragon and a three-headed ogre — animate and move across her skin. She was formerly part of the circus on Floor 3, where clowns were hostile to her likeness.

System Description

Tsarina Signet — Half Naiad, Half High-Elf Summoner. Level 60.

The High-Elf King Finian, leader of the Liana Sector of the Hunting Grounds, was such a horny bastard, it was said he'd bedded women from over 5,000 different races during his rule. Most scholars agree this has to be an exaggeration considering King Finian's hairlip and obsession with knitting, but nonetheless, at least one of these trysts did take place, resulting in the unique combination of half Naiad, half High Elf. Considering the Naiad Confederacy's tendency to drown outsiders and the High Elves' inclination to hunt down and murder any mongrel child of the late king, Signet here has probably had a tough life. Maybe that's why she ran away and joined the circus.

Known Facts

  • A wanted poster in the circus (Floor 3) marked her as a traitor: "Wanted. Traitor" was painted over her image; clowns were hostile to her likeness.
  • Approached Carl and Princess Donut after the circus encounter; her tattoos animated during the brief meeting.
  • Attacked Carl and the group; Carl survived and received a poker chip achievement (Book 3, Chapter 7).
  • Carl recalled her during Floor 5 (Book 4): last seen on the third floor; he has a contract obligation with her tied to "Vengeance of the Daughter" — a program involving high elves, naiads, and genocide, to play out on a future floor.
