The Royal Chariot

Overview

A full Earth residential house won as a prize at the end of Floor 4. Used as a mobile airborne base of operations throughout Floor 5. It housed the Nightmare II biplane and served as home, crafting space, and command center for Carl's group.

Owner

Carl

First Appearance

Book 3, Chapter 34

System Description (The Chariot Vehicle)

When Donut named the ATV vehicle "The Royal Chariot," the dungeon system adopted the name and generated this description for the vehicle contraption:

If a snowmobile got drunk on moonshine and had a sweaty, ill-advised night with a hillbilly's coon-hunting ATV, this oversized birth defect of a vehicle would be the result. Quickly traverses through both sand and snow. Don't worry about the lack of roll cage or the grossly-misplaced center of gravity, or the fact this thing will do an impressive impersonation of a catapult the moment it hits a rock. The most important part is that it looks kind of badass.

Description

Originally arrived as a floating balloon-supported house. On Floor 5, Katia Grim used her shapeshifting ability to store the house (balloon and all) in her inventory. When a patch was applied after a recap episode, the house popped out mid-air, nearly crushing everyone.

The house had to have its top half removed — lopped off — so the master bedroom stairwell could be extracted, as bubble rules prevented leaving a quadrant with a stairwell attached to a vehicle.

Contains a personal space, crafting room, saferoom, and a large garage housing the Nightmare II biplane. Powered by electricity and water despite being airborne.

Crew

During the Orthrus mission, Louis and Firas operated the Royal Chariot while Carl and Donut flew the Nightmare II.
