The Setting

Book 3 follows Carl, Princess Donut, and Katia Grim through the entirety of Floor 4 — The Iron Tangle, a vast underground rail network of hundreds of named stations connected by double-sided "noodle" track tubes. The floor's central threat is the Rev-Up Vitamin Shot addiction cycle, which transforms mobs through three DT stages culminating in the Krakaren parasite swarm. Floor 4 also reveals the full mechanics of the dungeon's god-summoning system (Grull, godly sponsorship contracts) and the role of the Iron Tangle Corporation as Borant political propaganda. Carl, Donut, and Katia descend to Floor 5 at the end of the book.

Donut is approximately Level 33. Katia is Level 37, wielding the Scavenger Mother crossbow. Loita has replaced Zev as primary PR agent.

Carl wrote the 25th Edition cookbook entry pledging to "break them all."
