Role in the Story So Far

Carl survived the Transformation, entered the dungeon, and fought through Floors 1 and 2 before reaching Floor 3 at the start of Book 2. On Floor 3 (The Over City), he and Donut selected their race and class — Carl became a Primal Human with the Compensated Anarchist class. The Primal designation gives him a Primal Roar ability and enhanced physical stats. The Compensated Anarchist class reflects his explosives expertise and anti-authority ethos.

On Floor 4 (The Iron Tangle), Carl orchestrated a massive rescue operation using interdiction portal carts from Station 75, ultimately saving approximately 1,400 crawlers. Key actions: defeated Gore-Gore (ManTauR Level 40 neighborhood boss) and Levi the 7th using the Surprise Three tactic; obtained the Dungeon Anarchist's Cookbook (24th Ed.) and used his Escape Plan skill to read hidden instructions for the Doomsday Scenario; detonated the Doomsday Nuke at Station 433; accidentally teleported the Mimic Rex to Trainyard E via an interdiction cart; and added his own notes to the Cookbook (creating the 25th Edition). Sponsored by Valtay Corporation.
