Version: Book 3

Agatha

Overview

Agatha is an elderly woman who navigates the dungeon with a shopping cart. She first appeared in the dungeon on the night of the Transformation, entering voluntarily. Her Level 4 status through all of Floor 1 and into Floor 2 is anomalous, as is her shopping cart's contents: three Valtay Corporation items including an illegal communications relay.

First Appearance

Book 1, Chapter 22

Description

  • Elderly woman; two bulbous eyes; eccentric, cackling personality
  • Pushes a shopping cart (pink plastic flamingo visible in front)
  • Did not complete the dungeon tutorial; had no inventory as of Floor 1
  • Level 8 at the end of Floor 2 — still has no class chosen

Known Facts

  • On the night of the Transformation, she set fire to an eldercare facility she was camped outside, forcing hundreds of elderly residents out into the street.
  • The dungeon stairs transformed into a ramp when she first approached with her cart — the AI appeared to accommodate her specifically.
  • Was edited out of the Floor 1 boss battle episode broadcast. Mordecai deflected questions about why.
  • Her cart contained: a Trans Tunnel 7C Orator Relay (inter-tunnel communications device, flagged illegal by the dungeon AI), a Valtay Perso-Shield Platinum Edition, and a Mag 3040 Valtay Corp Pulse Pistol.
  • On Floor 2, she told Carl: "Them critters already know I'm here. They just don't know what to do about it."
  • When Carl referenced her shopping cart, she gave him a sharp warning look.
  • Carl decided not to tell anyone about her suspicions, reasoning it would be a mistake to put it in writing.
  • Re-appeared at the Floor 3 stairwell at the end of Floor 2. Level 8, still listed as human, still no class chosen. The stairs turned into a ramp for her again. Carl warned Imani not to intercept her.

Known Relationships

  • Carl — encountered repeatedly; Carl keeps his suspicions private
  • Valtay Corporation — possible connection (unresolved)
