Mongo

Overview​

Mongo is Princess Donut's bonded velociraptor pet. Pink-feathered and beak-faced, he serves as Donut's combat mount throughout Floor 4, fitted with the Mongoliensis Saddle. He has grown into a significant combat unit by the end of Book 2.

Description​

  • Species: Velociraptor mongoliensis
  • Appearance: small velociraptor, covered in pink feathers, with a beak
  • Minimap dot: orange (bonded pet designation)
  • Will not grow physically larger after Level 15, though he continues leveling

Role in the Story So Far​

Mongo was obtained from a treasure room on Floor 2 and bonded with Donut after she saved him from a Brindled Vespa. He was officially registered as "Mongo the Mongoliensis Level One (Pet of Grand Champion Best in Dungeon Princess Donut)" with the title Royal Steed.

On Floor 4, Mongo served as Donut's primary mount and a combat unit in his own right. He was dispatched by Growler Gary 14 times — actually, Carl had Mongo kill Gary 14 times — to collect the 28 gnoll hands needed to activate the interdiction portal carts.

Mongo survived Floor 4 and descended to Floor 5 with Carl and Donut.
