Mongo

Overview​

Mongo is Princess Donut's bonded pet and Royal Steed — a small velociraptor (Mongoliensis) covered in pink feathers with a beak. He has grown steadily stronger throughout the dungeon and is a primary combat unit in the party.

Description​

  • Species: Mongoliensis (velociraptor)
  • Small in size; covered in pink feathers with a beak
  • Will not grow physically larger after Level 15, though he can continue leveling
  • Bonded to Donut; minimap dot turned orange upon bonding
  • Officially registered as: "Mongo the Mongoliensis Level One (Pet of Grand Champion Best in Dungeon Princess Donut)" with the title Royal Steed

Role in the Story So Far​

Mongo was obtained from a treasure room on Floor 2. Donut saved him from a Brindled Vespa and they bonded immediately. He traveled with the party through Floors 3 and 4, becoming a primary combat unit. On Floor 4, Donut rode him into battle using the Mongoliensis Saddle, and he killed Growler Gary 14 times in rapid succession to supply gnoll hands needed for the portal cart activation.

On Floor 5, Mongo continued growing stronger and fought consistently alongside the team through all major engagements. At the end of Book 4, in Chapter 34, Mongo killed Maggie My by eating her parasitic worm form, permanently ending her threat.

On Floor 9 (Book 7), Mongo killed Empress D'nadia — the last heir of the Prism trading dynasty — in Chapter 27. The kill was credited to Carl/Donut and triggered the Gavrilo Princip achievement (Legendary 1914 box). All Prism faction assets transferred to the Princess Posse as a result.
