Miriam Dom

Overview​

Miriam Dom is a human Shepherd-class crawler who travels with and manages the sapient goat Prepotente. She was ranked #7 on the leaderboard at the end of Floor 4. On Floor 5 she was cursed and transformed into a vampire. On Floor 6 she continued as a healer and companion to Prepotente before being killed by Carl using the Ring of Divine Suffering — her death simultaneously cured Li Jun's vampirism.

Description​

  • On Floor 6: could float and fly; subsisted exclusively on blood from creatures Prepotente had just killed

Role in the Story So Far​

Miriam was first referenced during the Floor 3 leaderboard in Book 2 as Carl's internal label "goat lady" for Prepotente's companion. She appeared in person at Station 36 on Floor 4, managing Prepotente's erratic behavior throughout the floor. She consistently hits him with her staff when he says something inappropriate and kisses him on the head afterward. She was ranked #7 on the leaderboard at end of Floor 4 with a 100,000 gold bounty.

On Floor 5, Miriam appeared on the Dungeon Sidekicks show (including a karaoke segment with Katia). While she was away, Prepotente suffered a panic attack and fled. When she returned and went searching for him, she was attacked by a creature that cursed her into vampirism. Her Club Vanquisher membership was subsequently revoked due to her new undead status, which triggered Prepotente to unleash his hellspawn familiar into the Club Vanquisher lounge — devouring a group of clerics. A Holy Crusade Bounty was placed on Miriam Dom, Prepotente, and their goat companion.

On Floor 6, Miriam traveled as a trio with Prepotente and Bianca. Despite her vampiric transformation, she continued to function as a healer. She could float and fly. She refused to drink blood from people — subsisting only on blood from creatures Prepotente had just killed. After Carl was knocked into a coma by a Woozy-enhanced crossbow bolt during a confrontation at the Desperado Club, Miriam healed his bleed debuff and helped transport him to safety.

Miriam was killed by Carl on Floor 6 using the Ring of Divine Suffering — a one-use item that kills the target and cures any vampiric curse linked to them. Her death simultaneously cured Li Jun's vampirism.
