Louis Santiago 2

Overview​

Louis Santiago 2 is a human crawler who appeared on Floor 5 as a partner to Firas M. He began Floor 5 as a functional alcoholic but was cured by a Rapid Detox potion from Mordecai. His Cloud of Exhaust spell is legendary tier. By the end of Book 4 he joined Katia's splinter group and fell in love with the changeling NPC Juice Box. On Floor 6 his class upgraded to Extermination Professional; he reached Level 42 and remained a key member of Team Katia.

Role in the Story So Far​

Louis appeared on Floor 5 in an impaired state, initially presenting as comic relief. After Mordecai provided a Rapid Detox potion in Chapter 5, Louis became sober and demonstrated significantly higher competence throughout the floor. His legendary-tier Cloud of Exhaust spell (Level 11, produces a knock-out gas cloud with a 10-minute cooldown) proved tactically valuable across multiple engagements.

Louis fell in love with Juice Box, the changeling NPC, during the events of Floor 5. At the end of Book 4 he joined Katia's splinter team along with Juice Box.

On Floor 6, Louis's class upgraded from Pest Exterminator to Extermination Professional. The specialization granted a 0.5% insta-kill bonus on mobs his level or lower. He also gained the ability Tent the House: he can take a potion and deliver it as an area-wide dose, with the effective range increasing further when cast from the deck of the Twister airship. Tent the House has a 6-hour cooldown. Louis reached Level 42 by the mid-point of Floor 6 while fighting extensively with Team Katia.
