Role in the Story
Books 4–5
Quan Ch was introduced by reputation at the start of Floor 5 as the most powerful crawler in Bubble 543. In Chapter 32, he attempted to kill Orthrus for the world quest bounty. Carl intervened, ripping off Quan's arm and looting the Ring of Sniping (Rockard's Ring) and two other rings from the severed limb. Quan fled to Floor 6.
On Floor 6, the recap show showed him as one-armed, pale, and sick-looking. He had changed class to Sergeant-at-Arms and reached Level 48, ranked #10 on the leaderboard with a 100,000 gold bounty (×3 modifier).
Book 6
Quan Ch was killed by Carl in Chapter 60 using totems Golden Uzi Jesus and Asojano, who turned him into pulp. Carl looted his extensive inventory — which proved to be everything he'd taken off the crawlers he'd killed over the entire crawl:
- Celestial cloak
- Nickel sock (magical; extraordinarily effective)
- Boomerang bowler hat (decapitating, boomerangs back)
- Velma the Flame Thrower (named weapon)
- Eye in the Sky scrolls (×5)
- Magical tomes
- ~5 million gold coins
- An extensive collection of swords, spears, war hammers, a magical chainsaw, and other weapons
Carl kept Quan's arm. The only item left in Quan's dead grip was a single golden ring, which Carl chose not to take.
