Louis Santiago 2

Overview​

Louis Santiago 2 is a human Pest Exterminator-class crawler who appeared on Floor 5 as a partner to Firas M. He began the floor as a functional alcoholic but was cured by a Rapid Detox potion from Mordecai and proved an increasingly capable ally. His Cloud of Exhaust spell is legendary tier. By the end of Book 4 he is in love with the changeling NPC Juice Box and has joined Katia's splinter group.

Role in the Story So Far​

Louis appeared on Floor 5 in an impaired state, initially presenting as comic relief. After Mordecai provided a Rapid Detox potion in Chapter 5, Louis became sober and demonstrated significantly higher competence throughout the floor. His legendary-tier Cloud of Exhaust spell (Level 11, produces a knock-out gas cloud with a 10-minute cooldown) proved tactically valuable across multiple engagements.

Louis fell in love with Juice Box, the changeling NPC, during the events of Floor 5. At the end of Book 4 he joined Katia's splinter team along with Juice Box.

Known Relationships​

On Floor 8, Louis was in Havana with Carl's group. He organized a Christmas party and held a vomit bucket for Katia during her drug withdrawal. He received Scroll of Build Trench (×5) and other loot. He may have looted Quan Ch's nickel sock after Quan's death.

On Floor 9 (Book 7), Louis pilots the Party Planner airship as the primary aerial bombardment platform during Operation Ruin (chapter 59), carrying 50 Waffle Maker thermobaric bombs. He also receives new gills at some point during the floor.

The Party Planner is lost at the end of Floor 9 (airships not permitted on Floor 10). A replacement plane stolen by Florin sits in the castle hangar.

At the end of chapter 86, Juice Box gives Louis divorce papers. Samantha immediately announces her excitement that he is "back on the market."
