Denise the Feral Goose Mother
Overview
Denise is a Level 53 Borough Boss and the quadrant boss of the Air Quadrant in Bubble 543 on Floor 5. She is a feral goose — originating from the seventh floor — rendered entirely insane after lingering too long in "the Nothing" during her grandfather Emperor Anser's magical gate transport. She suppresses all magic in her vicinity and is classified as an environmental boss.
System Description
Denise! The Feral Goose Mother! Level 53 Borough Boss! Like most of the creatures in this godsforsaken bubble, Denise shouldn't be here. She was plucked directly from the seventh floor when her grandfather, emperor Anser, decided to use a magical gate to bring his people to this world. But like many of those who were unwilling in their journey to this place, she lingered too long in the inbetween. The Nothing. She paid dearly for it. Her mind is all but gone. The gnomes captured her long ago, but they do not know who she really is. Denise doesn't know, either. She has a few special abilities. Abilities that only recently started to manifest themselves. She can prevent magic from harming her. She is an environmental. She has an overwhelming need to protect children. But most of all, she just wants to kill everybody. Especially bitches.

Description
Appearance: a white goose wearing a frilly baby blue bonnet and matching blue shawl — both torn and bloodstained. When her mouth opens fully, teeth erupt from her beak in a flower-petal pattern.
Denise has an overwhelming compulsion to protect children, explaining her attachment to Bonnie (Commandant Kane's daughter). She killed Commandant Kane before Carl arrived on the scene.
Boss Room / Environment
A gnomish house suspended in the Air Quadrant of the bubble, falling after The Wasteland's destruction. The house was an enclosed domestic environment — kitchen, living areas, furniture. Time limit: three minutes before impact with the Necropolis below.
Mechanic / Weakness
- All magic within her vicinity is suppressed: spells, scrolls, enchanted gear buffs, and healing all fail
- Immune to all standard weapon attacks
- Vulnerable only to objects already present in the boss room environment (environmental boss classification)
- Projectile attack: fires rows of razor-sharp teeth as a shotgun blast from her flower-blossom mouth
Outcome
Carl shoved Denise's head into the kitchen garbage disposal and turned it on. Defeated.
During the fight, Carl looted Commandant Kane's corpse: a Letter from the Glass Wizard, a Mysterious Watch, and 5,030 gold.
