Tally
Overview​
Tally is a Bopca Protector — a gnome-like NPC caretaker assigned to a safe room on Floor 1. He prepares food and maintains the space for visiting crawlers. He is non-combatant, perpetually surly, and an excellent cook.
System Description​
Bopca Protectors are magical, gnome-like creatures who exist solely to watch over Safe Rooms. They do everything from scrub the toilets to prepare your food. They are surly, smelly, and they never wash their hands.

Description​
Short, stocky, with so much brown (slightly green-tinged) hair covering his face that only his black eyes and a bulbous red-veined nose are visible. He wears a blue apron, a paper hat, and a nametag that reads "Tally." He smells vaguely of wet moss. Moves very little when speaking. Has a Slavic accent — not quite Russian, but close.
Tally had prepared for years in advance for human crawlers, studying human cuisine. He was not, however, prepared for a cat crawler — but improvised by sourcing yogurt and later fresh salmon for Princess Donut.
Role​
- Caretaker and cook for a Polish-themed safe room restaurant on Floor 1
- Prepares custom meals based on the crawler's preferences and spice tolerance
- Rents sleeping quarters to crawlers for rest
Notable Meals​
Tally prepared a Murgh Vindaloo (boneless chicken in sweet and sour sauce over biryani rice with garlic and spinach naan) for Carl at their first meeting. He prepared yogurt for Donut and later arranged for fresh salmon.
