Krakaren
Overview​
The Krakaren is a Floor 2 Borough Boss — a massive, immobile cosmic octopus creature fused with an anti-vax suburban "MLM mom" archetype. She ran an illegal moonshine operation from her lair using a network of clurichauns and laminak fairies as her "collective."

Description​
Approximately 20 feet tall. Octopus-like body, unable to move — attached to the ductwork of the ceiling. Multiple eyes. A beak-like mouth. Black streaks running down her face like running mascara. The body smells of rotting seafood. She was operated an MLM-themed moonshine still and led a "collective" of lesser fairy creatures.
Carl recognized the dungeon's pattern: taking a real alien species (cosmic octopus creatures) and combining them with an Earth cultural stereotype. In this case: the Krakaren collective and MLM culture.
Boss Room​
Her lair contained:
- A copper moonshine still (explosive)
- Cages packed with Brindle Grubs — her "livestock"
- Clurichaun and laminak fairy minions
Weakness​
The moonshine still was explosive. Carl triggered an explosion that destroyed the boss room and the Krakaren while Carl and Donut remained safe inside a neighbor's lair during the chain reaction. The Krakaren's lair was on the other side of a wall from where they staged the ambush.
Outcome​
Destroyed by the moonshine still explosion. Loot included the boss neighborhood map and several gear items, including Princess Donut's Enchanted Fur Brush of the Ecclesiastic and the Heal Critter spell tome.
Note​
Mordecai cryptically noted that the Krakaren "isn't the last we'd see of that particular boss" — implying Krakaren-type bosses recur in the dungeon.
