The Dirigible Gnome Faction

Overview​

Also known as "The Wasteland Faction" or "The Dreadnaught Faction," the Dirigible Gnome Faction operated a massive floating fortress called The Wasteland in the Air Quadrant of Bubble 543 on Floor 5. They controlled the quadrant through military superiority until Carl's team destroyed their fortress in Chapter 12.

  • Operated the floating fortress The Wasteland (also called the Dreadnaught) — a gnomish military airship equipped with aircraft, bombers, sniper teams, and Knock-Knock bombs.
  • Controlled the Air Quadrant of Bubble 543 via military superiority.
  • Maintained a stalemate with the Dromedarians through mutual deterrence: the gnomes held gnome flesh mechanic Wynne hostage against Dromedarian aggression; the Dromedarians threatened to bomb The Wasteland if Wynne was harmed.

  • Carl's team hijacked a Vahana balloon and used it to infiltrate and destroy The Wasteland's escort aircraft before firing on the fortress itself.
  • The Wasteland was destroyed in Chapter 12. Commandant Kane survived the destruction but was subsequently killed by Denise the Feral Goose Mother in Chapter 16.
  • Faction effectively destroyed by Chapter 12.
