The Syndicate

Overview​

The Syndicate is the interstellar governing body of over 3 billion independent star systems. It is the supreme legal authority under whose rules Earth's dungeon was created and operated.

Known Facts​

  • Under Syndicate law — specifically the Precious Elemental Reserves Code, subsection 543 — Earth defaulted on claiming sovereignty by failing to file an appeal within 50 Solars of first contact. First contact occurred thousands of years ago, approximately when the pyramids were built.
  • The Indigenous Planetary Species Protection Act requires that surviving members of a claimed planet's species be given the opportunity to reclaim their lost matter. The Borant Corporation fulfilled this requirement by creating the World Dungeon.
  • A Syndicate neutral observer AI was dispatched to Earth to supervise the dungeon and ensure rules are followed.
