Prepotente

Overview​

Prepotente, called "Pony" by his companion Miriam Dom, is a sapient Caprid (goat) crawler ranked #2 on the leaderboard at the end of Floor 4. He claims to be one of only two Earth creatures in the dungeon with true sapience (the other being Donut). He is unpredictable, prone to random screaming, and casual in his references to murdering people — though Miriam insists he doesn't mean them.

Role in the Story So Far​

Prepotente was encountered at Station 36 on Floor 4, where he had been attempting to kill the province boss via cardiac arrest when Carl accidentally teleported it to the abyss. He and Miriam briefly interacted with the main party.

On Floor 5, Prepotente suffered a panic attack and went berserk, running off on his own. While Miriam was searching for him after returning from the Dungeon Sidekicks show, she was attacked by a creature that cursed her into vampirism. After Miriam's Club Vanquisher membership was revoked due to her transformation, Prepotente responded by releasing his hellspawn familiar into the Club Vanquisher lounge in rage — the creature devoured a group of clerics. A Holy Crusade Bounty was subsequently placed on Prepotente, Miriam, and their goat companion.

On Floor 6, Miriam (still vampiric) traveled with him, drinking blood only from creatures Prepotente had just killed. They together saved Carl's life when he was comatose after a hunter ambush. The trio's combat method relied on Miriam keeping them hidden and buffing Prepotente while Bianca stacked debuffs on targets silently. They killed multiple Odious Creepers on the floor and Prepotente established multiple settlements. He entered the Floor 7 transition chamber alongside Carl, Donut, and Kiwi, but his actions in that chamber caused Carl and Donut to skip Floor 7 entirely.

On Floor 8, Prepotente's starting location was the Bahamas. He was alone with Bianca and described as lonely. He asked Carl to read to him via the Voodoo Book communication system. His notoriety during Faction Wars led to the naming of the Gold Prepotente Box achievement reward given to most crawlers.

On Floor 9 (Book 7), Prepotente is active as a member of the Princess Posse's forces. He floats above Larracos in chapter 86 to spot Emberus's location (in the volcano). In the chapter 54 temple fight, he and Katia Grim use Black Nimbus potions to escape. His final communication to Carl at the end of Floor 9 arrives via Voodoo Book chat: "I love you." He enters a stairwell at the end of the floor.

The cat NPC Milk's POV chapter (set during Floor 5 events) reveals that Milk helped Prepotente and Miriam escape Club Vanquisher when Miriam's access was revoked.
