Overview

Volteeg is a gargoyle who was originally a bird transformed into a crawler's pet by a pet biscuit — mirroring Prepotente's situation. His owner, Mistress Henspar, died on floor 7 of his dungeon season.

He chose the gargoyle race on floor 3, which cost him his singing ability. He wrote one entry in the Dungeon Anarchist's Cookbook during floor 9 of his season.

On floor 10, he took the first deal offered. He survived his indentureship without fighting or killing a single crawler — by hiding. He now sleeps for long periods using his gargoyle ability.

POV Chapter

Volteeg's chapter focuses on his grief, guilt, and the loss of Mistress Henspar. It is a parallel to Prepotente's story: a pet who outlived their owner and had to navigate the dungeon alone.
