Pineapple Cabaret
Overview
The Pineapple Cabaret is a pocket dimension built by former crawlers Herot and Menerva as an escape route from the dungeon. It operates outside the dungeon's direct sight lines and is accessible via a Nothing portal concealed within the Desperado Club casino's roulette wheel.
First Appearance
Book 8, Chapter 77
Known Facts
- Built by former crawlers Herot and Menerva
- Located outside the dungeon's direct view — the AI cannot directly monitor it
- Accessible via the Desperado Club roulette wheel: when the wheel is stopped on a specific tiny sliver and the button is held, it opens the portal
- By the end of Floor 10, approximately 227+ crawlers had been sent to the Pineapple Cabaret through the cleaner bot (Suckira) transport method and the Nothing portal
- Crawlers at the Cabaret cannot freely leave — it is safer than the dungeon but not true freedom
- The dungeon AI expressed doubt that the Pineapple Cabaret escape route would work if Scolopendra's remaining attacks triggered, as the dungeon collapse would be too fast
Garden of Deliverance
Each escaped crawler's life is monitored by a Garden of Deliverance — a plant-based monitoring system. Each crawler corresponds to a potted plant. If the plant is alive, the crawler is alive. A cactus blooming a single flower was Mordecai's signal that Li Na had arrived safely.
Known Escapees (as of end of Book 8)
- Li Na (confirmed by Garden cactus bloom)
- 227+ total crawlers sent through the cleaner bot method
- Additional crawlers via the Nothing portal
- Louis Santiago (intended for Pineapple Cabaret but redirected to Sheol by Forkith's group)
