Containment Interface

Overview​

The Containment Interface is a new tab in Carl's dungeon interface, granted by Paulie — a Residual (a member of the collective that communicates with infant AIs) whom Carl encountered at a Cuba homeless shelter on Christmas Morning during Floor 8.

The interface controls the physical device used to install the dungeon AI into the "primal engine." The device still physically exists somewhere near Earth.

System Description​

The interface is in Paulie's/Valtay home language with a slight translation delay. It has six tabs and multiple submenus, including:

  • Physical location, temperature, and operational metrics of the installation device
  • A Fuse page

The Fuse​

The Fuse page shows 5 conditions required for activation. Only 2 are marked "Conditions Met." The page includes an "Override Conditions And Activate Fuse" button.

Carl does not press it.

Activating the Fuse could potentially end the dungeon.
